Cursed gift

The playtest note

Cursed gift made it into the front-row section because it does one thing cleanly. The playtest note below covers controls, pace, and who it suits.

Death is not the end—it is only the beginning of your rise. You have been brought back to life by the very embodiment of Death to become the last hope of a dying kingdom. The lands are ravaged by insane cultists and the possessed, and only a true Lord of the Dead can restore order here.

How to play: WASD — move your character. Q, E, R, F — activate abilities. Hold C to open the potion wheel and select one. LMB — interact, select a unit squad. Hold LMB and move the mouse to drag a selection area and choose multiple squads. RMB — issue an order to selected units. Esc — pause.

Every entry in the front-row section was checked the same day it was filed. If a game stops working, it comes off the page rather than staying up broken.
